Industrial pipes must withstand aggressive and corrosive materials, often at high temperatures. They also need to be welded together to prevent potentially dangerous leaks and external contamination. We are currently evaluating and positioning DOWLEX™ 2388 PE Resin initially in pipe sizes up to 350–400 mm diameter — an ideal resin to choose, as it allows long lengths to be laid through the ability to coil, performs well at elevated temperatures and can be welded using standard jointing techniques, resulting in low cost installation.
